BRE365 Soakage Testing.

Our Approach

BRE365 infiltration testing is a core service offered by H2Ogeo Ltd, providing robust, site-specific evidence to support drainage design and discharge planning conditions. BRE Digest 365 testing is often required to demonstrate the feasibility of infiltration-based SuDS where ground conditions are uncertain or where regulators need confidence that proposed soakaways will function effectively. H2Ogeo undertakes testing in accordance with BRE guidance, ensuring results are reliable, defensible and suitable for submission to LPAs and LLFAs.

A key benefit of H2Ogeo’s BRE365 capability is the emphasis on realistic testing and expert interpretation. Test locations are selected to reflect proposed drainage features, and ground conditions encountered during excavation are carefully logged and assessed. Results are interpreted alongside site geology, groundwater levels and seasonal conditions, helping to identify whether infiltration is genuinely viable or whether alternative drainage approaches should be considered. This reduces the risk of later design changes or rejected discharge submissions.

H2Ogeo’s BRE365 reports are written with planning and delivery in mind. Findings are presented clearly, with transparent calculations, stated assumptions and practical design parameters that engineers can use with confidence. Reports are structured to align with planning conditions and drainage strategies, helping to avoid requests for further information and keeping projects moving. For clients, this means greater certainty, reduced programme risk and confidence that infiltration proposals are supported by sound evidence.
